Terms and Conditions With Driver
 

Article 14 of the Welfare of Animals (Transport) Order 1997 requires that you (the customer) provide the information requested below. Please also read the Terms and Conditions and sign to show you are in agreement with them.  

This must be faxed, posted or Emailed with signature before we start

1.    You as the customer, are liable to cover the cost of repairs for any damage caused by you your agents or your horse. You will have the opportunity to inspect the vehicle before loading and departure to check and agree any damage. Arguments will not be entered into later. 
Please ensure your horse has a passport, and if possible, give a copy to the driver.

2 .Your possessions are your responsibility, no liability will be accepted for any loss or damage, however caused. 

3.    We are insured up to a maximum of £10,000 per animal. Signing of these conditions confirms that you are satisfied with this figure. 
We also advise that you insure your animal for transportation.

4.    We recommend  that your horse is fitted with travel boots, rugs and  bandages.

5.    Our driver will take all reasonable precautions; however, in the event of an accident please note that you are personally liable for your horse and it's keep in the event of injury or damage sustained to or by your horse.

6.    Liability is not accepted for loss of entry fees or any other related expenses in the event of delayed or cancelled journeys caused by any reason.

7.    Should it not be possible to load your horse, a callout fee will still be charged which will take account of the mileage already traveled and time taken in attempt to load your horse.

8.    Should your horse be too upset or ill behaved, we reserve the right to refuse to transport the animal and a callout fee will still be payable. 

9.   If your horse becomes unsettled during transit then we reserve the right to sedate it and/or call out an emergency vet to attend if we deem the situation necessary. You will be liable for any veterinary expenses and any delay incurred at £15per hour.

10.    You are personally liable for your horse's welfare during transport. 

11.    Should your horse take longer than half an hour to load, an additional charge of £15 per hour or per part thereof will be charged.

12. 50% of the the total amount is to be paid in advance with the booking form, the remainder is due on the day of transport. Payment can be made by cheque (with banker's card up to the limit of the card) or by cash/cheque.
